| Alan Yate - DRUMS/VOCALS and various other noises. Also known as THE HAT suffers from a little understood disability called 'quintadyslexia' where the number 5 is completely missing from his DNA. Hence all his drum signatures contain every number except 5. Current treatment by specialists in this field (one of these lives in a monastery in a remote part of Patagonia) consists of drinking regular quantities of Binomial Ethylene Ethanoate Riboflavin (work it out!) Apart from playing in several other bands in the Cambridge area which range through blues, rock/pop and modern jazz, he is also an author of about 70 publications in the fields of science, technology and engineering. One claim to fame is that he has played drums in the Indra Club in Hamburg, where the Beatles appeared in their early years. Unfortunately there was no-one else in the club at the time! |
