Fannyrat, The Hat and Tim at a Halloween party 2011
Alan The Hat cut his teeth as a jazz drummer and the years of playing have proved a positive as he now gives a tight, solid basis for any band to build upon. He can turn his hand to any style of music, and usually does without telling the other members of the band. Hi dedication to drumming though has taken its toll and this is the main reason he can always be found wearing a hat, hence the name. Coming from an academic background you can be sure that every attention to detail has been paid to every beat and crash on the cymbals, especially when it is off beat, something Alan excels at. Alan is also an officionado of real ale and this often helps with his artistic talents.
Tim Brown was born in the very good year of 1955, also the Chinese yeear of the sheep. Tim picked up the guitar in his mothers womb as she played her Lonnie Donnegan records during pregnancy. Delivered with a perfect sense of timing matched perfectly with his ear for a note and rythm. He then developed these talents to the peak of perfection loving guitar blues. Keyboard skills were also honed during his formative years and Tim could easily slip into any top band seamlessly. His writing skills have led to him penning the soundtrack to a film which is now being turned into a Broadway musical. Although not being widely known Tim alludes to being of American birth and the lyrics you hear often indicate this.
Fannyrat is the youngest member of the band and arguably the best looking of the three. Fannyrat learnt to play the guitar, attempting to emulate Tommy Iomi lead riffs. Unfortunately the stubby fingers weren't conducive to lead breaks so he swapped with the bass player and has stayed with it ever since. Like The Hat, Fannyrat also enjoys a pint of the foaming ale and this, it is said, improves his performance no end. Mind you, that isn't what the other two members say but the audiences haven't seemed to notice yet. Still, with practice he may one day play a whole set without hitting a few bum notes!
